In Today's Edition: A 15th century thatched manor in Wiltshire with its own minstrel's gallery, and an 84 acre Worcestershire sporting estate

Lets take a look 🔎

Dating from the 15th century, Manor Farm House is a home of notable architectural interest. Set within a quiet village near Marlborough, it is predominantly timber framed with a thatched roof. The oldest part of the house is the stone west wing, which includes a fascinating medieval ceiling.

Entering the reception hall, the character of the house becomes immediately clear. The minstrel's gallery above adds a touch of historic appeal and introduces the sense of heritage found throughout the property.

The farmhouse kitchen forms the centre of everyday living, opening into a newly renovated sun/breakfast room filled with natural light through the lantern roof. For more formal dining, the vaulted dining room with exposed timbers and an inglenook fireplace offers a warm and traditional feel.

Outstanding Feature: Indoor Swimming pool and games room

Beyond the main house, the indoor swimming pool includes a changing room and mezzanine level, while a separate barn contains the games room, with stripped wood flooring and vaulted ceilings.

Outside, a traditional hard tennis court and just over 3.5 acres of curated gardens complete the setting.

Outstanding Feature: The Sporting Facilities.

A stocked trout fishing lake, a stream with wild brown trout, a polo field, a private gallop and multiple pheasant shoots make this a genuine sporting estate, all enjoyed entirely within the privacy of one's own land.

Beyond the principal residence, Sion Lodge sits at the entrance with its own garden and paddock, while a further detached two bedroom cottage offers independent accommodation.

A substantial detached office building of approximately 4,000 sq ft, a professional grade ménage and four stable yard complete this remarkable estate, surrounded by around 10 acres of formal gardens, a walled garden and mature woodland.
